TV GLOBO will evaluate Net Insight´s platform for video, voice and data transport over dark fiber and telecom connections for upcoming business opportunities.
TV GLOBO, the largest TV Network in South America, has decided to evaluate Net Insight´s Nimbra platform for transporting video and HDTV material, data and voice between locations in their TV network. The platform will be evaluated both over fiber optic links between two locations in Rio de Janeiro and over a public telecom connection between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The evaluation has been facilitated by Net Insight´s new Brasilian agent, Sterling Do Brasil.
"We find Net Insight´s platform to be very interesting for providing various video transport as well as data and voice transport in our TV network. We cover a large geographical area and therefore we need a transport system that can work both over fiber optic and public telecom infrastructures", says Nelson Faría Junior, Director of Production Engineering, TV GLOBO Network.
The evaluation of Net Insight´s platform is for connecting production studios in TV GLOBO studio facilities in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The transport requirements is for both video, HDTV material, data and voice between these locations.
